Format Of Exam

A medical aspirant has to go through AIPMT, also known as All India Pre Medical Test which is conducted by CBSE or Central Board of Secondary Education. This is common entrance test for medical seats in colleges across the country.

In India you can apply for state level medical entrance test and national level medical entrance tests for MBBS and BDS courses. For all national level medical seats you have to go through AIPMT while state level medical tests are conducted by different states.

The medical entrance test question paper consists of 180 objective type questions from four subjects which are:

1.) Physics
2.) Chemistry
3.) Zoology
4.) Botany

From each of the above mentioned subjects 45 questions are to be attempted and each question carries 4 marks. With every wrong attempt made by student 1 mark gets deducted and hence accuracy is crucial to get a good rank. One needs to have an accurate and deep knowledge of the subjects to perform best in it.
NEET or National Eligibility Entrance Test is conducted for admission of students in all governments and private medical colleges on the basis of merit list.

As mentioned earlier, the AIPMT includes questions from four subjects that are basic science subjects. A student gets 3 hours to solve 180 questions and one wrong attempt can result in deduction of marks. And that is why it is important for an aspirant to have thorough preparation for the exam.
